Ashley E. Platt Obituary (1990 - 2011)

Odell, Ill. -- Ashley E. Platt, 21, of Odell, died at 6:59 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home of Pontiac, with Pastor Steve Larson officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Pontiac funeral home. She was born July 1, 1990, in Morris, the daughter of John Colman and Kim Platt. Survivors include her father of Odell; her mother of Odell; one brother, Nathaniel Colman of Odell; one sister, Heather Platt of Morris; her maternal grandparents, Beverly and Jim Swiggett of Morris; her paternal grandparents, John and Bobbie Colman of Odell; aunts and uncles, Terry and Tammy Colman of Odell and David Platt of Morris; and special friends, Dan Tucker and Sara and Ben Pennington. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather David Platt; one aunt Christine Colman, and one cousin Lance Platt. Ashley was a 2009 graduate of Pontiac Township High School and attended Unity School of Cosmetology in Pontiac. Miss Platt was employed at Exact Packaging in Pontiac and was a cosmetologist. Ashley loved her dog, Serenity, and enjoyed being a beautician and had a great love for art. Memorials may be made to the family.
