Betty J. Odell, 97, of Pontiac, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020, in Pontiac, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded with burial at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in North Olmstead, OH at a later date. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements. Betty was born January 29, 1923, in Searcy, AR to Roland and Lela Bell (Creson) Williams. She married Theodore L. Odell on October 7, 1944, in Los Angeles, CA. He preceded her in death in June 1994. She is survived by her children, Pamela (Allen) Roth of Pontiac, IL, Shawn (Claudia) Odell of Pontiac, IL, and Kevin B. Odell of Parma Heights, OH; sister, Hallie Dixon of Kenai, AK; 10 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Theodore; one daughter, Beverly Crawford; and one son, Terry L. Odell. Betty graduated high school in Manila, AR. She had been a member of the Church of Christ in Pontiac, IL and had been an avid bowler in the past. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
