Christopher M. Wilder Obituary (1990 - 2007)

PONTIAC - Christopher Michael Wilder, 17, Pontiac, died at 2:15 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 22, 2007) at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria. His funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church, Pontiac, with pastors Phil Icenogle and Grant Armstrong officiating. Burial will be at Southside Cemetery, Pontiac. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. Duffy Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial gifts may be made to the Pontiac Public Library or McLean County Autism Society. He was born Sept. 30, 1990, in Peoria, a son of Christopher Wilder and Sue Ann Highland Barbiere. He is survived by his father of Chenoa; his mother of Pontiac; his stepfather, Chris Barbiere, Pontiac; his stepmother, Molly Wilder; a sister, Megan Wilder, Pontiac; a stepbrother, Billy Wilder, Chenoa; maternal grandparents, Dennis and Jane Highland, Pontiac, and Patrick and Maureen Barbiere, Knoxville, Tenn.; his paternal grandparents, Mike and Cathy Dalton, Chenoa, and Jo Downey, Stanford. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Gary Wilder and Jim Downey. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pontiac. Mr. Wilder was educated at Hammitt Challenge Program for Autism in Normal, and was attending Pontiac High School.
