Clifford D. Bachman Obituary (1931 - 2020)

Clifford D. Bachman, 89 of Cornell, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020, at 7:35 p.m. at Evenglow Lodge Health Care in Pontiac. A graveside service will be held Monday, December 7, 2020, at 1:30 p.m. at Cornell Cemetery in Cornell, IL with Pastor Chrissy Salser officiating. Memorials may be made to Community Lutheran Church of Cornell or the Cornell American Legion. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements. Clifford was born October 28, 1931, in Minonk, IL to Ralph and Elsie (Uphoff) Bachman. He married Doris J. Handley on July 7, 1951, in Arkansas. She passed away May 8, 2007. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Tamara Bachman Cornell, IL; sister, Carmen Miles of Minonk, IL; grandchildren, Ashley (Robert) Bohm of Cornell, IL, Brendan (Amanda) Bachman of Williamsville, IL, and Kyle (Amanda) Bachman Pontiac, IL; and great grandchildren, Jadyn Bohm, Kamrin Bohm, Rylan Bohm, Eden Bohm, Hattie Bachman, Elliott Bachman, Harper Bachman, Jack Bachman, and Logan Bachman. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris; and son, Keith R. Bachman. Clifford graduated from Minonk High School. He served in the United States Army serving in Korea. He worked on the home farm his entire life along with fabrication with a few different employers throughout the Livingston County area. He was a member of the Cornell Community Lutheran Church in Cornell, IL and the Cornell American Legion. Clifford was a hard-working, God-fearing, generous man who loved his family and friends.
