Constance L. Fitzgerald Obituary (1940 - 2014)

Constance L. Fitzgerald, 74, of Pontiac, passed away Friday, October 24, 2014 at 4:01 a.m. at Kindred Hospital in Peoria, IL. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, October 27, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at the Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac, IL. Burial will be at Avoca Cemetery in Fairbury, IL. Constance was born September 7, 1940 in Fairbury, IL, daughter of Carlton and Ruth (Storck) Fitzgerald. She is survived by one brother, Floyd Fitzgerald of Oracle, AZ; one sister, Jane Woodburn of LaMesa, CA; one niece, Ellen Fitzgerald of Tucson, AZ; and four cousins, Betty (Roger) Wilson, Wayne Askew, Tammy (Mark) Olson and Mahlon (Carol) Simmons. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Elizabeth Askew; and one brother, Roger Carter. Constance was educated at Fairbury-Cropsey Grade and High School. She worked for Motorola of Pontiac and she had cooked for Shirley's Country Corner, Log Cabin Restaurant and Penny's Place. She was a volunteer for REACT a CB Radio community that assisted motorists with emergencies. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests all donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
