Constance P. Connie Rudolph Obituary (1937 - 2014)

Constance "Connie" P. Rudolph, 76, of Pontiac, formerly of Cornell, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at 12:15 p.m. at Asta Care Center in Pontiac, IL. A private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded. Pastor Don Leonard will officiate and burial will be at Cornell Cemetery in Cornell, IL. Connie was born on August 4, 1937 in Metropolis, IL, daughter of Ercle D. and Josie V. (McDonald) King. She married Delbert E. Henson on September 27, 1955 in Ottawa, IL. They divorced and she later married Harold William "Bill" Rudolph on September 13, 1959 in Pontiac, IL. He passed away on October 22, 1987. She is survived by her sons, Anthony (Jewellene) Henson of Cornell, IL, William Rudolph of Lexington, IL, and Todd Rudolph of Spring Valley, IL; her daughters, Crystal (Ron) Graves of Pontiac, IL, Tonia (Gary) Bailey-Beggs of Kankakee, IL, and Lani (Dan) Carlile of Pontiac, IL; her sister, Barbara Leesman of Lincoln, IL; 27 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her second husband, Bill Rudolph; one brother, Joseph King; and one daughter, Kara Demmig. Connie attended Cornell Grade School, Cornell High School, and Blackhawk East College. She was a CNA at St. James Hospital and several area nursing homes. She was also a Corrections Medical Technician at Pontiac Correctional Center. During the 1970's she was a member of the Cornell Fire Department. Connie loved God, her family, animals, reading, crafts, gardening, garage sales, stock car and motorcycle racing, rodeos, and horses. Her dream was to start a horse program for underprivileged children. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Memorials may be made to the family; the Arthritis Foundation in Normal, IL; the Salem Children's Home Horse Department in Flanagan, IL; and/or Asta Care Center in Pontiac, IL.
