Cyril J. Hogan Obituary (1926 - 2007)

PONTIAC - Cyril J. Hogan, 80, of Pontiac, died at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 17, 2007) at Livingston Manor Nursing Home, Pontiac, after an extended illness. A memorial mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac, Father Michael Bies officiating. Mr. Hogan elected for his remains to be donated to the Anatomical Gift Association. There will be no visitation. Duffy Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund. He was born Aug. 26, 1926, in Emington, to Michael J. and Elizabeth Arnolts Hogan. He married Phyllis J. Wolf on Nov. 20, 1948, in Pontiac. She died Jan. 13, 1985. Surviving are son, Ronald (Leah) Hogan of Pontiac; three daughters, Patricia A. Hogan of Pontiac; Mary J. (David) Billington of Saunemin; and Nancy (John) Marschewski of Crossett, Ark.; two brothers, John (Theresa) Hogan of Odell and Henry (Janet) Hogan of Pontiac; sister, Anna Mae Humbert of Odell; eight grandchildren, Roy Hogan, Rochelle Hogan (Joseph Nolan), Beth (Robert) Hall, Jason Billington, Kevin Billington, Brandon Marschewski, Tyler Marschewski and Colin Marschewski; and two great-grandchildren, Grace and Noah Hall. His parents; wife; one brother, Joseph Hogan; and three sisters, Coletta Verdun, Irene Schmidt and Betty Kmetz, preceded him in death. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac. He attended Odell and Emington schools.
