Edith M. Hansen Obituary (1919 - 2013)

Edith M. Hansen, 94, of Pontiac, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013 at 9:45 p.m. at ASTA Care Center of Pontiac, IL. There are no services planned. Cremation rites will be accorded. Edith was born on September 28, 1919 in Sterling, IL, daughter of Siguard Markus and Alice Marie (Richards) Skrogstad. She married Ivan Ambrose, who passed in 1961. She later married Irvin Hansen, who passed in 1974. She is survived by two sons, Charles (Gloria) Ambrose of Wyoming and Dale Ambrose of Pontiac, IL; four daughters, Betty Ambrose of Pontiac, IL, Barbara (Darrel) Janssen of Monticello, IN, Darlene (Rob) Bohm of Cornell, IL, and Iva Bell of Cornell, IL; and many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one granddaughter, five brothers, and three sisters. Edith was educated in Sterling, Rock Falls area and was a loving homemaker. Memorials may be made to Asta Care Center of Pontiac Activity Fund.
