Fannie B. Diemer Obituary (1922 - 2018)

Fannie B. Diemer, 95, of Pontiac, formerly of Saunemin, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 2:29 a.m. at OSF St. James John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac. Her service will be Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac with Pastor Mauricio Vieira officiating. Burial will follow at Sunny Slope Cemetery in Saunemin. Visitation will be Friday, March 16, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements. Fannie was born November 25, 1922 in Saunemin, IL to Johnny and Elsena Johnson. She married George J. Diemer on January 12, 1940 in Kentland, IN. He passed away March 20, 2008. She is survived by her son, John N. Diemer of Pontiac, IL; grandchildren, Dale (Gera) Diemer, Doug (Lisa) Diemer, Debbie (Gordon) Kinate, Jeff Diemer, Joe Diemer, Jim (Karen) Diemer; great-grandchildren, Jennifer Diemer, Bryan (Elizabeth) Diemer, Peter (Katie) Kinate, Liz Kinate, Brady Diemer, Corey Diemer, Casey Diemer, Bradley (Jesica) Diemer, Tristen Diemer, Jacob Diemer, Sara Diemer, Lauren Diemer, and Tyler Diemer; great-great-grandchildren, Brody, Kadyn, Kaleb, Bailey and Meredith Diemer, and Nolan and Halle Kinate. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; one daughter, June Diemer; one son and daughter-in-law, Alvin and Sonny Diemer; daughter-in-law, Mary "Liz" Diemer; and one granddaughter, Diane Diemer. Fannie was educated in Saunemin Schools and worked for J.C. Penney in Pontiac and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Cullom, IL and the Saunemin Legion Auxiliary. Fannie was a St. Louis Cardinals fan. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and gardening. Her greatest joy was her family. Memorials may be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church in Cullom, IL.
