Harry Barger, Jr. Obituary (1935 - 2014)

Harry Barger, Jr., 78, of Odell, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at 9:12 a.m. at Asta Care Center in Pontiac, IL. His funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Odell, IL. Reverend Gretchen Stinebaugh will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Pontiac, IL. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Odell. Harry was born on July 9, 1935 in Cornell, IL, son of Harry Sr. and Mildred (Krominga) Barger. He married Sandy Wolfanger. She passed away in December of 2006. He is survived by one daughter, Denise (Richard) Ribordy of Odell, IL; one sister, Peggy (Larry) Immke of Saunemin, IL; and three grandchildren, Audra (Jared) Biggs, Karen Ribordy, and Susan Ribordy. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sandy; one daughter, Christine Barger; one sister, Louise Prisk. Harry attended school in Odell, IL. He worked at RR Donnelly in Pontiac for over 30 years until his retirement. Through the years, Harry enjoyed stock car racing at Fairbury American Legion Speedway and he was a fan of the Chicago Cubs.
