Harvey P. Sturdevant Obituary (1949 - 2019)

Harvey P. Sturdevant, 70, of Pontiac, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019 at 7:35 a.m. at Accolade Healthcare in Pontiac. Cremation rites will be accorded. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements. Harvey was born May 30, 1949 in Youngstown, OH to Harvey P. and Ollie (Niddel) Sturdevant. He married Julie Kurek in 1974. She passed away April 30, 1982. He later married Loretta Allison in 1999. She passed away January 20, 2016. He is survived by his two children, Michael Sturdevant and Janet Sturdevant, both of Youngstown, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents. Harvey attended Youngstown, OH schools. He was a machine repairman at Caterpillar from 1973 until his retirement in 2016. Harvey served in the United States Marines and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Pontiac VFW Post #886. He was dedicated to supporting the Livingston County Humane Society. He greatly enjoyed fishing and was a member of several fishing organizations.
