Jay M. O'Neill Obituary (1957 - 2013)

Jay M. O'Neill, 56, of Pontiac, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 12:20 p.m. at his home. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, July 29, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac. Cremation rites will be accorded. Interment will be at Cornell Cemetery at a later date. Jay was born on April 25, 1957 in Pontiac, IL, son of James B. and Jean M. (Ellis) O'Neill. He is survived by one brother, John T. O'Neill of Pontiac, IL; one sister, Judy M. (Jim Burger) O'Neill of Pontiac; one niece, Nicci Christensen of Pontiac, IL and one nephew, Richard E. Smith of Saunemin, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James A. "Doc" O'Neill. Jay was a graduate of Pontiac Township High School, Class of 1975. He worked for Pontiac Chairs in the Metal Division before working at Wrights Furniture for over 20 years. Jay was a past member of the Pontiac Jaycee's. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed sketching and artwork. Memorials may be made to the family.
