Jeanne Willhoite Obituary (1940 - 2017)

Jeanne Willhoite, 76, of Rockford, formerly of Odell, passed away peacefully Saturday May 20, 2017. Jeanne was born in Pontiac, IL on June 4, 1940 to Henry Thomas & Evelyn Verdena (DeGrodt) Gall. Jeanne owned and operated State License & Title Co. for over 35 years. She was a member of the United Church of Odell. Hard working, she very much enjoyed her job and in her spare-time enjoyed handy-work such as embroidery, knitting, crochet, crosswords, and tinkering in the garden. Most of all she loved time spent with her grandchildren. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend, she will remain in our hearts forever. She is survived by her children, Sandra (Dave) Conley, Rebecca (Ted) Steinback, and Robert (Billie Jo) Willhoite; grandchildren, Tara, Candice, Lisa, Brittany, Kimberlee, and Brandon; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce (Bob) Anderson; and brother, John (Jan) Gall. She is predeceased by her husband, Gerald Eugene Willhoite; parents; and significant other, Leo Palmeri. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, 903 W. Custer Avenue, Pontiac, IL, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will follow the service at Memorial Park Cemetery in Pontiac. Memorials may be made to the family.
