Johnnie W. Johnson, 94, of Pontiac, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 6:26 p.m. at Flanagan Rehab in Flanagan, IL. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac. Capt. Camie McPherson will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Center Cemetery in Flanagan, IL. Friends may call on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Johnnie was born on July 24, 1919 in Flanagan, IL, son of Joe R. and Julia (Simpson) Johnson. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, L. J. Johnson, Fred Johnson, Ernest Johnson, and Roger Johnson; and three sisters, Myrtle Letsinger, Cecile Wilhoute, and Ellen Fosdick. Johnnie attended Pleasant Hill Country School in rural Flanagan, IL. He was a farmer in the Flanagan area, at the same farm, for 65 years. Memorials may be made to the Livingston County 4H Club.
