Justine J Fraher Obituary (1936 - 2012)

Justine J. Fraher, 75, Pontiac, died at 8:25 a.m. Friday (Oct. 26, 2012) at Evenglow Lodge, Pontiac. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac. Father David Sabel will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery, Odell. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday with the rosary recited at 3:30 p.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac, or to the family. She was born Dec. 14, 1936, in Streator, daughter of Pete and Geraldine Colletta Giacinto. She married Raymond Fraher on June 13, 1959. He passed away on Feb. 2, 1994. Surviving are her son, Daniel (Barb) Fraher, Pontiac; daughters, Gerri (Mark) Leigh, Sparland, and Mary (Jim) Billington, Pontiac; brothers, Sam Giacinto, Streator, and Peter (Ann) Giacinto, Arkansas; sister, Joanne (Jim) Teegarden, Streator; and grandchildren, Kaitlyn Leigh, Kristin Leigh, Andrew Billington, Katy Billington, Ashley Fraher, Blake Fraher and Tori Fraher. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac. She was a dedicated employee of Fox Center in Dwight for 35 years. She was associated with the St. Mary CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine) group for many years, and was a member of the Legion of Mary and the Women's Guild. She was a graduate of Streator High School. Justine loved her family and had a very strong faith.
