Kenneth L. Carlin Obituary (1946 - 2018)

Kenneth L. Carlin, 71, of Pontiac, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018, at 1:45 a.m. at his home after an extended illness. Cremation rites will be accorded. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements. Kenn was born December 21, 1946 in Pontiac, IL to Raleigh Carlin and Sylvia (Carls) Bashore. Sylvia survives in Pontiac. He married Aimee Peterson on November 7, 2004 in Crystal Lake, IL. She survives in Pontiac. Also surviving are his children, Thera Carlin of Rockville, MD and Allison (Andy) Anderson of Bothell, WA; sister, Jeni Chaffer of Bourbonnais, IL; grandchildren, Cameron Boyden, and Carlin, Connor, and Aidan Anderson; ; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Stella and Robert Perez and Valera and Will Johnson; nephews, Eddie Mascari and Cristian Mascari; and nieces Kristin McCarroll and Heather Wilson. He was preceded in death by his father; and one brother, Bobby Carlin Kenn was a graduate of Pontiac Township High School, Class of 1964 and attended Ventura College in Ventura, CA. He served stateside in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He worked as a sales manager in the tool holder industry for 31 years with Siebert in Chenoa, later with the Scully-Jones Corporation, until his retirement. Kenn was considered a Genius Computer Guru. He loved cars, especially Corvettes, and music by the Beach Boys. He was an avid reader and loved bowling.
