Kristin M. Duffy Obituary (1968 - 2011)

Kristin Marie Duffy, 43, of Flanagan died at 7:45 a.m. Saturday (July 9, 2011) at the Good Samaritan Home in Pontiac. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac, with Monsignor Thomas Mack officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Pontiac. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Association or Good Samaritan Home of Pontiac. She was born May 26, 1968, in Lake Wood, Calif. She married James R. Pitte on Sept. 4, 1993, in Pontiac. They later divorced. Her parents are Gerald M. and Lenore R. Bassett Duffy. Lori survives in Pontiac. She is also survived by a brother, Matthew Dillon Duffy of Honolulu. She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald M. Duffy. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac. She had been a registered nurse for OSF Saint James Hospital, Livingston County Home Health and most recently she had been with the LaSalle-Peru Home Health. Kristin was educated in Kankakee and Roanoke, and was a graduate from Pontiac Township High School. She received her nursing degree from Quincy College of Nursing. Kristin was a loving daughter and sister who knew what she wanted and was not afraid to get it. She will be missed every day for her ornery banter and vast knowledge of ailments, treatments and the medical profession.
