Lina Lawson Obituary (1937 - 2015)

Lina Lawson, 77, of Pontiac, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 7:17 p.m. at Woodridge Supportive Living Residence in Pontiac. A graveside service will be held Friday, February 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Pontiac. Lina was born October 24, 1937 in Hazzard, KY, daughter of Zack and Lacie (Smith) Nease. She married James Lawson on August 9, 1952 in Austin, IN. He passed away in June 2002. She is survived by her son, James J. (Judy Hembree) Lawson of Columbus, IN; daughters, Deborah A. Akers of Pontiac, IL and Barbara J. Byrne of Pontiac, IL; brother, Zach (Grace) Nease, Jr. of Crothersville, IN; sisters, Beulah Harvey of Chicago, IL; Faye Terry of Chicago, IL; America Smith of Union Town, IN; and Pauline Seal of Underwood, IN; grandchildren, Erik (Jennifer) Tatum, Erin Byrne, Samuel Lawson, Tonja Smither, Misty Dineen, and Ashley Lawson; and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Lawson. Lina attended Austin High School in Austin, IN and was a homemaker.
