Linda L. Masters Obituary (1951 - 2016)

Linda L. Masters, 64, of Odell, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 6:20 p.m. at her home in Odell. Her service will be Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac with Pastor Tom Krieger and Pat McConnell officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Odell. Visitation will be Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Pontiac. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements. Linda was born May 27, 1951 in Streator, IL to James and Grace (Persinger) Derossett. She married Barry L. Masters on May 16, 1970 in Odell. He passed away on August 18, 2014. She is survived by her two sons, Daniel T. (Heather) Masters of Chatsworth, IL and Andrew D. (Lori) Masters of Streator, IL; three sisters, Barb (Orrin) Tucker of Kangley, IL, Elaine (Keith) Kelly of Bloomington, IL, and Carolyn Brunton of Vinita, OK; and one granddaughter, Morgan E. Masters. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Barry; and two brothers, Vernon Derossett and Larry Derossett. Linda attended Streator Grade School, graduated from Odell High School in 1969, and completed Cosmetology School in Kankakee. For 25 years, Linda was a Mental Health Tech III at William Fox Developmental Center in Dwight and was Owner/Operator of Country Lane Beauty Shop at her residence for over 30 years.
