Maxine L. Wargo-Douvia Obituary (1923 - 2015)

Maxine L. Wargo-Douvia, 92, of Pontiac, passed away Tuesday, December 08, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Evenglow Lodge Tjardes Health Center in Pontiac. Cremation rites will be accorded. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements. Maxine was born October 31, 1923 in Streator, IL, daughter of Lewis and Frances (Ehler) Warren. She married James Wargo and later married Edward Douvia, both deceased. She is survived by her son, Vernon James (Mary) Wargo of Flanagan, IL; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; both spouses; one daughter, Sharon (Harr) McCausland; and one grandson, Jamie Wargo. Maxine was educated in Streator schools and worked for Owens Illinois Glass in Streator for 20 years and then later at K-Mart in Pontiac. She was a lifetime member of the VFW in Pontiac.
