Myrna M. Creamean Obituary (1929 - 2019)

Myrna M. Creamean, 90, of Pontiac, passed away Monday, December 30, 2019, at 1:16 p.m. at her home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church in Pontiac with Father Adam Cesarek officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Odell, IL. Visitation will be Saturday, January 4, 2020, from 10:00 to 11:30 at the church. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements. Myrna was born January 19, 1929, in Streator, IL to Porter C. and Marie H. (Downey) Meredith. She married Theodore L. Creamean on December 28, 1948. He passed away January 15, 2004. She is survived by her children, Ted L. Creamean of Waynesboro, VA, Cathlena M. (Ralph) Davis of Pontiac, IL, Dr. Terry L. (Michele) Creamean of Pontiac, IL, Cindy R. (Tim) Lyons of Colorado Springs, CO, Cheryl A. Durham of Pontiac, IL, and Dr. Troy L. Creamean of Corpus Christi, TX; sister, Judith Bohm of Cornell, IL; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, John Paul, in infancy; brothers, Parnell Meredith and Robert Meredith; sisters, Margaret "Peg" Johns, Leona Crews, Audrey Meredith, and Sharon Eaton; and grandson, Tyler Creamean. Myrna attended Odell Country Grade School and graduated from St. Paul High School in Odell, Class of 1946. She attended University of Illinois in Streator for one year. Myrna worked as a dispatcher for the City of Pontiac from 1970 to 1978. She was in insurance for 25 years and was a real estate agent for 31 years. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Pontiac, IL since 1947. She was the first substitute teacher at Ladd School in Pontiac. She was a past member of the Pontiac Moose and the Livingston County Realtors Board for 12 years, where she served as President in 2005. Myrna was nominated in 2005 for Realtor of the Year.
