Nettie Ruth Boatwright Maley Obituary (1945 - 2017)

Nettie Ruth Boatwright Maley, 71, of Pontiac, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017 at 11:45 a.m. at her home in Pontiac. Cremation rites will be accorded. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Patty Cemetery in Pontiac, IL. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements. Nettie was born August 27, 1945 in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia to Raymond Delaney and Bertie Sue (Nicely) Boatwright. She married her beloved, John Bodly Maley, on December 5, 1992 in Pontiac. He passed away in 2002. She is survived by her children, James M. (Diane) White of Pontiac, IL, Melvin L. (Tammy Shingleton) White of Cornell, IL, Mark A. (Luz) White of Pontiac, IL, Marilyn L. Howe of Colorado, Joe M. (Stephanie) White of Pontiac, IL, Michael D. (Deb) White of Pontiac, IL; step-daughter, Beckie (Dean) Easton of Bloomington, IL; and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; one brother, Floyd Boatwright; two sisters, Marjorie Myers and Marie Wiechec; and one step-son, John "Spud" Maley. Nettie attended grade and high school in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia and attended Joliet Junior College. She was employed with OSF St. James John W. Albrecht Medical Center in food services from 1977 until her retirement in 1993 and was Owner/Operator with her husband for Meier Trucking Company. She was a member of VFW of Fairbury, Women of Moose in Bloomington, Women's Club in Pontiac, and the Cornell Birthday Club. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
