Patricia L. Verdun Obituary (1940 - 2022)

Patricia "Pat" Lou Verdun, 82, of Pontiac, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, Illinois. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family graveside will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Pontiac Elks Lodge, Pontiac, Illinois on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Duffy Baier Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of the arrangements. Pat was born on October 28, 1940, in Pontiac, Illinois, the daughter of Earl and Ruth (Bressner) Thompson. She married Robert "Keith" Verdun on February 8, 1988, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He survives in Dwight, Illinois. Also surviving are her children, Phillip (Jackie) Iverson of Eureka, and Perry (Cathy) Iverson of Naples, FL; her husband's children, Julie (Tim) Schuld and John Verdun; her grandchildren, Lauren (Thomas) Rubarts, Grant Iverson, Emily (Max) Nicassio, Garrett Iverson, Kara Schuld, and Lyla Schuld; her great grandchild, Calvin; her sisters, Joan Beck, Fay Ledford, Kay Thompson, and Jan (Jeff) Falk; and many nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Vern Thompson. Pat was a graduate of Pontiac Township High School and a resident of Pontiac. She was in the food service industry for a number of years. She also worked at the family garden center. Throughout her life, she was an avid golfer and a passionate sports fan, and enjoyed football Sundays. Pat was a skilled gardener and loved cooking for her family. She especially loved animals and watching movies. She was adored by all who knew her. Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
