Raymond J. Pete Howard Obituary (1940 - 2014)

Raymond J. "Pete" Howard, 73, of Pontiac, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at 9:58 p.m. at his home in Pontiac. Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Pete was born December 3, 1940 in Chicago, son of Leo M. and Helen E. (Wilke) Howard. He married Sharon L. Frickey on June 27, 1964. She survives in Pontiac. Also surviving are his son, Raymond J. Howard II of Flanagan; one brother, Ronald Howard of Pontiac; two sisters, Katie Henderson of Beecher, IL and Florence O'Connor of Pontiac; and one grandson, Jonathan (Cassie Lessen) Howard of Flanagan. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and three sisters. Pete attended schools in Chicago and was retired from Interlake Steel in Pontiac. Pete collected sports cards and memorabilia and he enjoyed building model cars and planes. He was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice or the American Heart Association.
