Theron M. Barnard Obituary (1948 - 2008)

BLOOMINGTON -- A memorial calling for Theron M. "Uncle Mike" Barnard, 59, of Bloomington, and the brother of area residents, will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Duffy Funeral Home, Pontiac. A private family burial will be in South Side Cemetery, Pontiac, at a later date. Mr. Barnard died at 1:47 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington. He was born Aug. 1, 1948, at Rockford, the son of Theron R. and Creola M. (Bradshaw) Barnard. Surviving are one son, Daniel J. Barnard; one daughter, Melissa A. Barnard; six brothers, Richard (Judy) Barnard, Ronald (Janie) Barnard, David (Vickie) Barnard and Gary (Joyce Holzhauer) Barnard, all of Pontiac, and Lou (Lonnie) Barnard and Dale (Patsy) Barnard, both of Bloomington; and four sisters, Eileen Bane, Minonk, Phyllis (George) Bohm and Carol Tucker, both of Pontiac, and Susan Scott, Chenoa. Mr. Barnard was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. He attended Pontiac schools. Mr. Barnard was retired. He was a member of ABATE (Central Illinois). He loved playing pool, bowling and golf. The family suggests memorials may be made to OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington
